Fritcher Fitness Center This 6,square-foot facility houses many types of free weights, selectorized equipment and tread mills for use by Buena Vista University students, faculty and staff. The facility, completed in , is filled with 20 power stations 10 Olympic platforms, 10 Uesaka bumper plate sets, along with assorted barbells ranging from one to pounds.

Upgraded visiting bleachers were also installed. The stadium was named for James Leslie Rollins. Rollins was the star halfback on the football squad, was chosen as a Second and Third Team All-Conference team member and also played forward on the Iowa Conference Championship basketball team for Buena Vista.

The Lamberti Recreation Center is a 54,square-foot facility that includes the six-lane, meter Dennis Young Indoor Track and three multi-purpose courts--Brown Court, Pierce Court and Saggau Court--that are used for tennis, volleyball and basketball. The BVU football, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, and track and field teams all take advantage of this facility when the weather does not permit outdoor practices. The facility has also been the venue for many events since opening in , including indoor collegiate and high school track invitational meets, alumni track invitational meets, indoor tennis, youth basketball shoot-outs and intramurals.

It holds a few hot springs gems that are open to the public year round. Salida Hot Springs — Located in downtown Salida, this hot springs pool has several claims to fame. In addition to a gigantic swimming pool, they have private hot tubs for rent by the hour.
