Mini Game Pack is a solution to a multitude of scenarios. I loved this collection of mini-games much in the same way I swooned for Skipping Stone. Cute kitties and penguins, addictive jump rope events, pleasing line art drawings -- there is nothing not to like here.

It helps that the presentation of Mini Game Pack is an absolute delight. The cute, brightly coloured characters are perfectly off-set by the almost minimalistic backgrounds. It's all perfectly judged, ensuring that your eyes are always clearly focused where they should be. Such restraint is especially welcome as the in-game characters are rendered extremely small, and would be totally lost if the backgrounds were any busier.

As with all mini-game collections, some of the events work better than others. One of the topics discussed at my Game Developer's Conference session on casual games was the need to marry gameplay with inviting visuals. People need a reward for the eyeballs, too, which is one of the reasons I think Gamevil's Skipping Stone was such a standout.

Mini Game Pack has excellent hand drawn backdrops that go for a pleasant minimalist approach. This really highlights the little characters, such as the kitty and penguin, which I wouldn't be surprised to find out enjoying brisk sales in Seoul as plush toys. Have you played Mini Game Pack?
