But the Compaq computer should be able to run the wordperfect drivers since they work on my IBM computer. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the wordperfect print driver to work on the Compaq.

Spent many hours searching Norton and Corel, but found no reference. Have a look at the difference in programs you have on the Compac compared to the IBM, it may be one of these. Hope this may save you some time and headaches.
